Overview

Corner Stone International SAGL is a small consultancy company specialised in Weigh-In-Motion, founded in March 2013 and is based in the Italian speaking part of in Switzerland (Ticino). Founder of the company is Hans van Loo who has been involved in the field of Weigh-In-Motion technology and applications for more than 25 years. He graduated in Electrical Engineering from the University of Twente in The Netherlands and has been working for the Dutch National Traffic Police Agency, Rijkswaterstaat of the Dutch Ministry of Transport and Kalibra as a technology advisor and project manager. He is founding General Secretary and since many years Promotion Officer of the International Society for Weigh-In-Motion (ISWIM).

Experience

In 2013 he founded Corner Stone International and is working as an independent consultant for several end-users and vendors of WIM systems. He has been involved in several national and international projects related to the development, installation, implementation, operation and standardization of WIM systems and data in many different countries around the world.

For ISWIM he is the main editor of the ‘Guide for Users of WIM’ and three of the Practitioners’ Guides ‘Glossary of Terms’, ‘Calibration of WIM Systems’ and ‘Implementation of WIM Systems for Direct Weight Enforcement’.
