Overview
Neurosoft is a software company based in Poland. It was established in November 1992 as a spin-off of graduates and employees of the University of Wrocław and the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. Our hallmark is artificial neural networks, and our main objective is to use artificial intelligence in practice. The company’s name – NEUROSOFT – derives from the artificial neural network technology, which forms the basis for all of our products.
Thanks to our strong Research and Development team we successfully introduce systems based on modern neural network technologies to the market. Neurosoft’s innovation results from operating at the intersection of science and business. One of our most prominent goals is to support road safety and ITS systems. Neurosoft has developed its own technologies in the field of vehicle identification – ANPR/MMR, WIM, integration of road measuring devices, as well as data transmission, effectively providing systems for the largest users in the country and abroad. Our commercial solutions for comprehensive identification of vehicles in motion are dedicated to processing and distribution of information presented in various forms and formats (text, sound, image, etc).
Products and Solutions
Neurosoft offers three main product lines, each leveraging artificial intelligence for specific applications.
NeuroCar
Focuses on enhancing road traffic safety and automation in Intelligent Transport Systems through intelligent tools. It specializes in delivering advanced solutions in traffic monitoring and vehicle detection. Key products and solutions include:
- NeuroCar VC (Vehicle Counting): This system collects data on traffic volume and vehicle types using metadata linked to vehicle images, video recordings, and signals from induction loops. It utilizes in-house technologies for ANPR, MMR, ADR and other, developed by Neurosoft.
- NeuroCar WIM (Weigh-in-Motion): An advanced system that allows for the real-time measurement of vehicle weight and additional parameters without requiring vehicles to stop or slow down. The system combines data from induction loops and road-mounted pressure sensors to accurately determine vehicle weight, type, speed, length, and individual axle pressures. Various types of pressure sensors (strain gauge or piezoelectric) and additional sensors are also supported, such as temperature sensors, to enhance measurement accuracy.
- NeuroCar RL (Red Light): Monitors traffic light violations using real-time video analysis and deep neural networks, without needing to interfere or integrate with an existing traffic light management system.
- NeuroCar PARK Technology: An advanced system that fuses data from various sensors to provide real-time occupancy information, compensates for sensor errors, and predicts future availability based on historical data. The NC Park Spots system utilizes magnetic sensors or IoT cameras to detect vehicle occupancy in urban lots, transmitting data to a cloud-based application for interactive mapping and real-time updates. Additionally, the NC Park Trucks system is tailored for truck lots, monitoring vehicle arrivals and departures while classifying vehicle types for accurate occupancy data. The NC Block Parking system focuses on optimizing space in block parking areas, ensuring efficient use and easy access. Together, these solutions aim to streamline parking operations, reduce congestion, and improve the overall parking experience.
- NeuroCar VIS3D Technology: Enables vehicle speed measurement, classification of vehicle types, and determines vehicle positions in 3D space.

NeuroSpace
Aimed at space exploration, this product line involves object detection and identification using fully automated, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). NeuroSpace is an intelligent, modular system for modeling and monitoring 3D infrastructure with the help of drones. The project, which ran from March 2016 to June 2018, aimed to create an autonomous system capable of precise spatial modeling and real-time monitoring through advanced techniques like Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (VSLAM). This innovation minimizes the operator’s role by automating flight operations, allowing for efficient spatial mapping of monitored areas.

NeuroLex
A solution developed by Neurosoft that focuses on legal technology, specifically designed to enhance the processing and analysis of legal documents and data. It utilizes advanced natural language processing (NLP) techniques to streamline legal workflows, making it easier for legal professionals to manage and analyze large volumes of information efficiently.

NeuroCar products have the following practical applications:
- Real-time monitoring of traffic flow and vehicle counting to optimize traffic management,
- ANPR: License plate recognition for tracking and monitoring of vehicles,
- WIM: Real-time measurement of vehicle weight and classification without stopping the vehicles ,
- Parking: Solutions for detecting parking space occupancy and managing urban parking efficiently,
- Red Light Violation Detection: Monitoring and enforcement of traffic light compliance to enhance road safety,
- Incident Detection and Prevention: Event detection within the traffic lane, automatically detects events such as: wrong direction of vehicle movement, traffic congestion, prolonged stop of a single vehicle beyond a defined time, presence of pedestrians on the traffic lane, abnormal vehicle trajectory (e.g., evading an obstacle),
- Smart City Integration: Integrating with smart city infrastructure to enhance urban mobility and connectivity,
- Data Analytics and Traffic Prediction: Utilizing AI and machine learning to analyze behaviors, predict traffic patterns, and optimize traffic signal timings for better urban planning and infrastructure development,
- Environmental Monitoring: Assessing and monitoring environmental impacts related to traffic and transportation,
- Road Condition Monitoring: Assessing road conditions in real-time to inform maintenance and improve safety.
References
Neurosoft has installed over 90 Weigh-in-Motion systems in several countries including Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, Ukraine and recently UAE. The newest project involved developing a network of WIM stations in UAE, commissioned by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and specifically prepared for direct enforcement.
